Alicia McCaghren Cook is from Birmingham, AL where she received her Bachelor in Fine Arts at Birmingham-Southern College in 2002.  She has always been an avid animal lover, and she started painting commissioned pet portraits in 2002.  Alicia teaches art to teens and children at the Mill Art Center in Honeoye Falls, NY and is also working on her master's in Art History through the University of Alabama at Birmingham. 

Alicia is inspired by the beauty of nature and strives to capture the essence of that beauty in her paintings.  Her oil paintings can be found in private collections nationwide, including homes in New York, California, Washington, Arizona, Florida, and Georgia.
